People are always sitting on the Spanish steps, but the place is also overcrowded and you can get asked to move. However, you dont automatically get a fine. People also bathe and drink from the fountain in piazza di spagna (barcaccia) without getting a fine. It's mostly the Trevi Fountain that is monitored but it's mainly to avoid insane behaviour and damage to it; it's in a little square always flooded with tourists where barely a couple of hundreds people would fit. You cannot expect to be allowed to enter the premises of a fountain that is still an historical monument 😅 tourists would destroy it. I've seen tourists climbing statues, using confession booths in the Vatican for a picture...the problem is not the rules but the disrespectful behaviour....

Please, I urge everyone not to fly with this airline when traveling to Bali or anywhere in Asia. Prior to booking, carefully examine their reviews. On 05/09/2024, during my flight, I encountered issues with their agent attempting to charge me $200 for a bag that was 9KG overweight. After requesting to speak with a supervisor, the price suddenly dropped to $80. Upon arriving in Bali, I noticed significant damage to one of my bags, with personal items missing from the only bag secured with a TSA lock. During the inspection, they mishandled my belongings, resulting in a broken African tribal necklace. Despite contacting the airline for assistance, their response, received all the way from Australia, was dismissive, stating that wear and tear costs are not covered, holding me accountable for the damages. This experience has deeply disappointed me as it tainted my first trip to Bali.

first time I visited the Spanich Steps years ago, sitting on them and talking and people-watching was one of the pleasures. The last time I visited, we were told by the police to not sit. It changed, and ruined, the experience. They should mark out areas where we can sit, and circulation where we can't........

Great review.However, the music to voice volume was ridiculous.Turning the volume up to hear the voice and then turning it down to hear the music because it was very overpowering. Overall helped us with our decision . Thanks

Wow, you should stay modest, should not have half your butt or body showing, men should show common courtesy at religious places including headwear, and you should wear appropriate shoes to not damage anything, very surprising!

Maybe they are the lowest air carrier in the Philippines but not all the time. May charge pati un rebooking fee nila which is sa other airline line PAL, wala silang rebooking fee if changes made within one week before flight date.
